In regards to puzzle what’s your choice: jigsaw, crossword, word search, mazes, logic or numeric puzzles, something else, or nothing?

I prefer crossword puzzles that really make me think and question my answers.

Tell us about your first bicycle or car?

My first car (truck) was a 5-Speed Toyota truck. My father taught me how to drive it on the back roads to my grandpa’s house.   I still prefer manual transmissions and had to special order my Corolla at the dealership.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Atlantis…. no, not the tourist attraction in the Bahamas. I have been to that one. The thought of an underwater paradise excites me.

If you could have someone follow you around all the time, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?

My first thought would be that I would not want somebody following me around all of the time. However, if they must….

– Clean the house

– Wash the dishes

– Do the laundry

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

If I could have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of my life, it would be time.  I wish I would have more time to do the things I want to complete with the people that I love and care about.  I know, I know….time is really more of a  concept than a thing….. If I had to select an actual thing, it would be contact lenses for my kiddos.  They’re constantly falling out or getting lost.

Teleportation or flying?

Teleportation…. Just the thought of being teleported to anywhere at any time is exciting.  “Beam me up, Scotty”!

Would you rather live where it only snows or the temperature never falls below 100 degrees?

I actually enjoy the location that I currently live in.  I get to experience both worlds.  I’m not sure I would willingly choose either option.

If you were given $22 million tax free dollars (any currency), what is the first thing you would do? (This is just a dream question, remember anything can happen in SYW.)

If I were given $22,000,000, the first thing that I would do is pay off my house and other bills. After that, I would invest most of it and try to help those less fortunate.

In what do you find the simplest of joys?

  • Spending a peaceful evening with my family
  • A fun family trip
  • Dinner out with friends

Do you use paper money? If so is your money organized sequentially according to denomination?

I use paper money and credit / debit cards equally.   My paper money is organized sequentially by denomination.

Are you comfortable doing nothing? For long stretches of time?

Doing nothing??? I have no idea what that feels like.  I have been performing almost two jobs at my primary place of employment, while working a part time job on the side.  All of this is in addition to being a mother.

What is your greatest strength?

?????

Don’t Underestimate Silence

Image result for inspirational quotes

Silence is not an indication of weakness or even a lack of knowledge.  Tranquility does not mean that one has failed to see, hear or recognize what is happening around them.  Silence requires strength and self-control.  It takes more willpower to withhold judgement than it does to be negative and toxic.   Not contributing to a virulent environment is the moral choice.

Stepping Forward Into Growth

“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” – Abraham Maslow

After weeks of holding on and trying to stay in my safety net, it is time to step forward into growth.  I have been holding on for too long and I need to let go.  Sometimes hopes and dreams are not enough, sometimes I am not enough.

It is time for me to be free, time to let go, time to move on.

What is your earliest memory?

I have several early memories; however I am not sure which ones are true memories.  The earliest memory that I trust is when I was 9 years old.  I had just undergone surgery and was not able to go swimming.  I sorrowfully watched my sister and her friends swim in our small above ground pool, from the bedroom window.

Which way does the toilet paper roll go? Over or under?

Over

What makes you feel grounded?

Feeling grounded has been difficult this year, with all of the changes in my life.  I feel the most grounded when I am surrounded by positive people.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Snow, snow, snow!!!!  We were able to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, make snow cream and even go sled riding.  It was the best snow of the year.
